Iyabo Obasanjo steps down from Ogun gov race, backs Adeola

Iyabo Obasanjo announced that she is suspending her gubernatorial ambition for Ogun State following the emergence of Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the All Progressives Congress consensus candidate for the 2027 elections. In a statement she personally signed, she congratulated Adeola and expressed gratitude to her supporters for their unwavering trust. Obasanjo also thanked the state and national leaders of the party for the opportunity to participate in the nomination process.
