Hisbah rejects claims of anti-Christian restrictions in Sokoto

The Sokoto State Hisbah Board dismissed allegations that it imposed restrictions on Christian worship. In a statement, Commandant Dr. Usman Abdullahi Jatau described these claims as deliberate attempts to distort the agency's mandate and inflame religious tensions. He clarified that the law governing the Hisbah Board applies only to Muslims and does not interfere with the religious practices of Christians.
