Egypt and Eritrea mull turning the Red Sea into another ‘Strait of Hormuz!’

Egypt and Eritrea have signed a special pact on maritime transport, declaring that the security of the Red Sea should be the exclusive responsibility of the eight bordering states. This decision aims to take total control of the Red Sea under the pretext of security. A new shipping line is also proposed to connect Egyptian and Eritrean ports, boosting logistics and trade.
