Don’t send cancer patients home without care - FG

The Federal Government stated that cancer patients should not be sent home when they still require hospital-based care. Dr. Uchechukwu Nwokwu, National Coordinator of the National Cancer Control Plan, emphasized the importance of continuing treatment even when a cure is no longer possible. He insisted that patients should be referred to other facilities if care cannot be provided, and that even in advanced stages, pain management and symptom relief must continue.
