“The tribalist is Cabral Libii”: Oscar Ndjiki attacks the PCRN leader

In an opinion piece sent to Lebledparle.com, political analyst Oscar Ndjiki accuses Cabral Libii of conflating the MRC’s political ambitions with the ethnic origins of its former leader, Maurice Kamto. Ndjiki says the phrase “It’s our turn to eat from the tontine,” attributed to the MRC, calls for political change after decades of RDPC rule rather than making a communal claim. He also criticizes Libii’s support for community-based federalism, arguing that it could entrench ethnic divisions in the state’s structure. As an alternative, he cites Kamto’s 2018 campaign pledge to “pass the exam” to become the son of every region of Cameroon.
