Yobouessou (Bongouanou): 71-year-old woman decapitated, her head found, suspect arrested

Aman Zibla Thérèse, 71, was decapitated on June 6, 2026 in Yobouessou, in the sub-prefecture of Andé, while returning from her field. The suspect, nicknamed Adjoumani, was arrested in Bénéné around 2 a.m. Two young villagers discovered the headless body after encountering the man armed with a blood-stained machete.
