JNA 2026: Ivory Coast Now Self-Sufficient in Eggs, IPRAVI Calls for End to 9% Tax

Ivory Coast has achieved self-sufficiency in egg production with 1.3 billion units produced annually, and poultry meat production has risen from 23,000 tons in 2010 to 115,000 tons in 2024. Despite these successes, producers are calling for the elimination of the 9% tax on inputs to enhance their competitiveness. The Ivorian government has acknowledged the importance of poultry farming for food sovereignty and socio-economic integration.
