JOJ 2026: Major Inconsistencies in the Dakar Municipal Pound Market Valued at Over 250 Million FCFA

The contract for building the Dakar municipal pound, part of preparations for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, is controversial after anomalies were uncovered by the ARCOP's Dispute Resolution Committee. The initial bid by Lambaye Bâtiment Services SARL was 201,082,972 FCFA, but the awarded amount rose to 253,011,411 FCFA, a 26% increase justified as 'arithmetic corrections'. The committee found that some corrections exceeded simple adjustments, notably for a line item of FLINKOTE BE 3 impregnation undercoat.
