June 12: Nigeria still dealing with same issues 27 years after democracy - Abiola's son

Abdulmumuni Abiola, son of MKO Abiola, stated that Nigeria is still grappling with the same issues identified in 1993. In an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’, he argued that Nigeria’s democracy has not been representative and that citizens lack a genuine way to voice their concerns to the government. He spoke on the occasion of Nigeria’s 27th anniversary of uninterrupted democracy.
