June 12: Tinubu confers national honour on NDC Publicity Secretary, Osa Director

President Bola Tinubu conferred a national honour on the Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Osa Director, during the 2026 Democracy Day celebration. Director is among 50 Nigerians recognized for their roles in the pro-democracy struggle that led to the restoration of democratic governance. The awardees, including journalists, activists, political leaders, and military officers, were honored in the "Soldier-Democrats" category for their fight against military rule.
