Just in: Inflation rises to 15.69% in April

Nigeria's headline inflation rate rose to 15.69% in April 2026, up from 15.38% recorded in March, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. However, this figure remains lower than the 26.82% reported in April 2025. On a month-on-month basis, headline inflation eased to 2.13% in April from 4.18% in March, indicating a slower pace in the rise of average prices.
