ATBUTH launches mobile app, e-card for digital healthcare access

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi has launched a mobile app and electronic card system (DHS Mobile App and DHS SmartQueue System) to reduce waiting times and improve healthcare delivery. The system allows patients to obtain electronic queue tickets and book appointments remotely, with a pilot phase underway at the Family Medicine Department. Chief Medical Director Professor Yusuf Bara Jibrin said the app is available on Google Play Store and soon on Apple App Store, and telemedicine services will be integrated. Patients registered before November 22, 2024 need to renew their registration to get the new e-card.
