Tinubu's US case takes fresh twist as lobby firm leaks new documents

A US-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has released new documents related to the federal case involving Nigerian President Bola Tinubu. The firm stated that a recent court document cited criminal proceedings and public reports alleging that DCI Group, representing Tinubu’s administration in Washington, was involved in a hacking operation targeting American activists, using stolen information to discredit critics. The firm said these disclosures warrant further investigation as part of its federal lawsuit against Tinubu, Fani-Kayode, and DCI Group, accusing them of defamatory attacks and threats. It also raised concerns about US sovereignty, foreign interference, and transnational repression, referencing Jamal Khashoggi’s murder as an example of extreme measures by foreign governments.
