Kaolack: Fake visas for the United States, a scammer arrested after defrauding over 10 million

An individual was arrested in Kaolack for visa fraud, having defrauded several victims of over 10 million FCFA. The suspect, A. Lo, promised trips to the United States in exchange for payments ranging from 1 to 2.5 million FCFA per person. After multiple delays in departure, the victims alerted the police, who apprehended A. Lo, who admitted to using the money for personal purposes. An investigation is underway to locate a presumed accomplice based in Dakar.
