Kasper Schmeichel retires due to shoulder injury

Kasper Schmeichel, former Leicester City goalkeeper, announced his retirement at the age of 39 due to a serious shoulder injury. He underwent surgery after injuring his shoulder during a Europa League match with Celtic, but doctors advised him not to expect a return to the highest level. Schmeichel represented Denmark 120 times and won the Premier League with Leicester in 2016.
