The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, stated that about six out of every ten university students are involved in internet fraud, known as 'Yahoo-Yahoo'. During a conference in Kano, he highlighted that this alarming trend reveals deeper systemic issues within universities, including weak institutional oversight. Olukoyede also warned about the dangerous evolution of 'Yahoo Plus,' which combines internet fraud with fetish practices.
