KeNHA Partners With Global Initiative to Tackle Rising Road Deaths in Mombasa

The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has partnered with the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI) to improve road safety in Mombasa, where pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users. During a consultative meeting, accident-prone areas were identified, and measures such as promoting safer speed limits and designing streets that prioritize non-motorized transport were proposed. This partnership aims to reshape road design to protect pedestrians and other high-risk groups.
