Kenwyn Islamic Society demands resignation of Waterloo mosque trustees

The Kenwyn Islamic Society (KIS) has called for the resignation of the trustees of the Ashrafiah Trust, which oversees the Waterloo Road Mosque in Kenwyn, following the arrest of former Imam Moulana Mogamat Farouk Rylands. Rylands, who served as the mosque's Imam for about 20 years, was arrested for violating a court order. The KIS expressed a loss of confidence in the trustees, stating that their judgment has been seriously flawed, particularly regarding Rylands' incarceration.
