Kenya: A new orphanage to deal with human-wildlife conflicts

Kenya plans to relocate and expand the Nairobi animal orphanage to cope with the rising number of rescued wildlife, established 62 years ago. The increase is linked to growing human-wildlife conflicts, according to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), as the population nears 60 million. Erastus Kanga, KWS director general, said human-wildlife conflict is the biggest conservation challenge.
