KMPDU Officials Re-Elected After Court Dismisses Bid to Halt Elections

All senior officials of the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU) were re-elected in the elections held on April 2, 2026. Abidan Mwachi retained his position as National Chairperson with 66.59% of the votes, while Davji Atellah was re-elected unopposed. The Employment and Labour Relations Court dismissed a bid to halt the elections, stating that the petitioners failed to demonstrate rights violations or imminent harm.
