KRA Changes How to File 2025 Taxes for Businesses, PAYE

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has introduced new rules for the 2025 tax filing season, affecting businesses and employees. The deadline to file returns and settle tax balances is April 30, 2026. Businesses can deduct legitimate expenses even without eTIMS receipts, provided they submit proof and an Excel schedule of expenses. Additionally, VAT-registered businesses will benefit from an auto-populated VAT return to simplify the filing process.
