Ivory Coast loses battle for Issa Doumbia and 2 other talents called up by Italy

Issa Doumbia, a 22-year-old midfielder playing for Sporting, has chosen to represent Italy over Ivory Coast, despite interest from coach Hervé Renard. He has been called up by Roberto Mancini to participate in the Nations League with the Azzurri. Two other dual nationals, Mohamed Ali Zoma and Eddy Kouadio, have also opted for Italy, leaving Ivory Coast without these promising young talents.
