Eight South Africans set their sights on Claret Jug and The Open glory at Royal Birkdale

Eight South African golfers, led by Hennie du Plessis, will compete in the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in England. Du Plessis makes his major debut, while SA Open champion Casey Jarvis and Aldrich Potgieter (replacing injured Louis Oosthuizen) are among the contingent. The tournament starts Thursday.
