CBN, finance ministry sign MoU to strengthen fiscal-monetary policy coordination

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Ministry of Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance their partnership in macroeconomic management. CBN Governor Mr. Olayemi Cardoso emphasized that the agreement aims to improve the coordination of fiscal and monetary policies, which are essential for economic stability. Although the two institutions have collaborated for decades, this MoU establishes a clear framework for consultations and information sharing.
