Insecurity, lack of play undermining children's cognitive learning in Nigerian schools — UNICEF - Daily Post Nigeria

UNICEF has expressed concern that insecurity and lack of play opportunities in Nigerian schools are harming children's cognitive development. Celine Lafoucriere, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF Lagos, noted that children have been taken from schools in Borno, Niger, Kebbi, and Oyo states. She emphasized that play is critical for learning and that fear is preventing children from attending school.
