PFIPC: Gbajabiamila drags Adeyemi to court, demands N15bn over bribery claims

Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, has filed a N15 billion defamation suit against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew at the FCT High Court in Abuja. Gbajabiamila is seeking N10 billion in general damages, N5 billion in aggravated damages, and N200 million in legal costs. He denies demanding a 48% kickback from a N27.3 billion take-off grant for a federal agency, as alleged by Matthew. Matthew also claimed that N400 million had been paid through a proxy and that the mysterious death of an intermediary, Babatunde Tanimola, was connected to the case.
