Ivory Coast: Unoph-Ci Welcomes Ratification of a Protocol in Favor of Persons with Disabilities

Members of the Union of Umbrella Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in Ivory Coast (Unoph-CI) expressed their joy following the adoption of the optional protocol related to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, ratified by President Alassane Ouattara on April 10, 2026. Dogbo Raphaël, president of Unoph-Ci, praised this decision as a recognition of the rights of persons with disabilities and a step towards international protection mechanisms. He also emphasized the importance of disseminating this information to promote inclusion within Ivorian society.
