NHRC warns hate speech threatens democracy ahead of 2027 elections

Ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) warned that hate speech threatens democracy. Executive Secretary Tony Ojukwu stated that hate speech violates human rights and is illegal under the Cybercrimes Act 2015.
