At a press conference in Abidjan, video game expert Emmanuel Yao highlighted that the gaming industry generates more revenue than music and cinema combined, with a market of $1.8 billion according to Jeune Afrique. To train youth, the École Supérieure des Technologies, Arts Numériques et Réalités Virtuelles (ESTARV) offers specialized degree programs, the first of their kind in Côte d'Ivoire. The goal is to establish a local video game studio capable of competing internationally, bringing together developers, writers, graphic designers, and marketers.
