Nigeria's electricity generation rises to 4,300MW - Adelabu replies critics

Nigerian Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, announced that electricity generation rose to 4,300 megawatts between March 28 and April 10, 2026, with a 9% increase attributed to improved gas supply. Mechanical availability peaked at 7,796MW, while operational availability climbed to over 4,694MW. Despite ongoing challenges, including power outages in the Northeast, the minister expressed his commitment to improving the sector.
