Libya starts distributing U.S Dollars to citizens through local commercial banks

Commercial banks in Libya have started the physical distribution of U.S. dollars in cash to residents and foreigners, with a limit of USD 2,000 per transaction. This initiative aims to stabilize the national currency and ease liquidity pressures. However, the distribution of financial resources is uneven, with less than 25% of the USD 306 million allocated going to the eastern region, primarily directed towards the cities of Misrata and Tripoli.
