The fight against illegal gold mining in Daloa: 2 illegal sites dismantled in Zaïbo, 8 individuals arrested

On April 22, 2026, the mobile gendarmerie of Daloa conducted two operations in Zaïbo, dismantling two illegal gold mining sites. Eight individuals were arrested, including four during a first operation in Gamina. Security forces also destroyed several pieces of equipment, including four crushers and four pumps, to disrupt the clandestine activity in the Haut-Sassandra region.
