Nasa's Artemis II mission successfully sent four astronauts around the far side of the Moon and safely returned them home. Nasa Administrator Jared Isaacman has outlined plans for one crewed lunar landing per year starting in 2028, with the fifth Artemis mission marking the beginning of what the agency calls its Moon base. However, to achieve this goal, Nasa needs to address the lander issue, having contracted SpaceX and Blue Origin for the task.
