Nigeria's youngest lawmaker Rukayat Shittu wins Kwara APC primary

Rukayat Shittu, Nigeria's youngest lawmaker, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) re-election primary for the Owode/Onire State Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly. She defeated her only challenger, Sulyman Ayegun, in a keenly contested primary election. If successful in the general election, Shittu will become the first lawmaker to secure a second term in the constituency, potentially breaking a long-standing political pattern.
