Kenya’s police crack down on protest against US Ebola centre in Nanyuki

Hundreds of protesters in Nanyuki lit fires and hurled stones at police during a demonstration against a proposed Ebola quarantine centre for US citizens. According to the latest Economic Survey by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, enrollments in physiotherapy rose by 29% to 730 students in the 2024/25 academic year, up from 566 the previous year.
