Police rescue 8, nine others unhurt as 3-storey building collapses in Abuja

The FCT Police Command reported that a building under construction collapsed in the Jikwoyi area of Abuja on April 3, 2026. Eight victims were rescued and taken to Sisters of the Nativity Hospital, while nine others escaped unhurt. Rescue operations are ongoing to locate any additional victims who may be trapped, and an investigation has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the collapse.
