DR Congo agrees to take deportees from US

The Democratic Republic of Congo has agreed to accept migrants deported from the US who are not Congolese, effective this month. A temporary reception system has been established in Kinshasa, with no financial cost to the Congolese government. Congolese officials stated that the scheme is not a permanent relocation mechanism and that no transfers to the migrants' home countries are planned.
