The Democratic Republic of the Congo's squad has arrived in the United States for the World Cup after a three-week quarantine in Europe due to an Ebola outbreak. Coach Sebastien Desabre aims for a good showing to bring joy to compatriots facing the virus. This is DRC's first World Cup since 1974, when they played as Zaire. The team trained in Belgium and had a friendly match against Chile cancelled.
