DRC to Receive Migrants Expelled from the United States

Starting in April 2026, the Democratic Republic of the Congo will temporarily receive nationals from third countries expelled from the United States, according to a statement from the Congolese Ministry of Communication. The U.S. government will cover logistics and costs, with no burden on the Congolese treasury. This mechanism respects national sovereignty and international commitments of the DRC, and does not constitute an outsourcing of migration policies.
