US sprint star Richardson wins Australia's Stawell Gift in record time

Sha’Carri Richardson won the Stawell Gift in Australia, clocking the fastest time in the race's history at 13.15 seconds. She started from the back of the field and caught up with runners who had up to a nine-meter head start. Richardson, who won the 2023 100m world title, expressed her satisfaction with her performance on grass. The men's final was won by Olufemi Komolafe in 12.03 seconds.
