Value addition holds key to food security, wealth in Nigeria — NABG boss

The President of the Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), Arc. Kabir Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of value addition in the agricultural value chain to improve food security and combat poverty in Nigeria. Speaking in Lagos, he called for an urgent shift from exporting raw agricultural products to processing and marketing finished goods. Ibrahim also stressed the need for a functional agribusiness system and a decentralized approach to agricultural development.
