Africa still lags behind in tackling water, sanitation crisis — Igwe

Nicholas Igwe, a member of the Presidential Steering Committee on Sanitation, stated that Africa is still far behind in solving its water and sanitation crisis, primarily due to institutional shortcomings rather than lack of funds. He called for structural reforms and a platform uniting private sector, governments, and civil society to attract investment. Igwe warned that without a conducive environment for private sector involvement, Africa will face escalating social and economic crises.
