Lagos APC opens all positions for 2027 primaries, adopts direct primaries and consensus method

The Lagos State chapter of the APC announced that all positions are open for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections, with no anointed candidates. State Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi stated that the primaries will adopt direct primaries as the primary method, with consensus arrangements encouraged. He also emphasized the party's commitment to inclusivity, giving special consideration to influential female aspirants to promote gender equity.
