Lagos woman remanded for allegedly assaulting teenage daughter with knife

A woman has been arrested and prosecuted for allegedly assaulting her 15-year-old daughter in the Ipaja area of Lagos. The incident was revealed by a viral video showing the mother holding a knife while restraining her daughter. The victim was rescued by the Child Protection Unit and placed in a shelter where she is receiving care. The suspect was arraigned in court and is currently remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending legal advice.
