Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall signed an agreement to co-produce ATACMS missiles in Germany at Unterlüß starting in 2027. The plant will produce 600 to 800 missiles per year for Ukraine and NATO. The deal still requires U.S. government approval. U.S. production is shifting to the next-generation PrSM missile.
