Former AGF emerges Benue PDP consensus candidate for 2027 governorship race

Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, has been selected as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus governorship candidate for Benue State ahead of the 2027 general elections. The decision followed a three-week consultation and political screening process involving party stakeholders and 11 gubernatorial aspirants. Aondoakaa pledged to consolidate unity within the party and mobilize all stakeholders to secure victory in the elections.
