Army denies claims soldiers buy uniforms, says troops adequately equipped

The Nigerian Army dismissed allegations that its personnel purchase uniforms and protective equipment with personal funds, calling the claims false and misleading. In a statement, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Appolonia Anele, stated that all necessary kits are provided and that soldiers receive consolidated salaries along with uniform allowances. The Army also emphasized that no soldier is deployed without adequate protective equipment.
