Benue Assembly urges FG to arrest, prosecute Katsina-Ala attackers

The Benue State House of Assembly has called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to secure vulnerable communities and ensure the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the July 5, 2026 attack on Sai Community in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. The attack, allegedly carried out by suspected armed herders, killed 11 people. The lawmakers also directed the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to immediately provide relief materials to victims.
