Kebbi Assembly begins one-month recess, suspends legislative activities

The Kebbi State House of Assembly has suspended legislative activities for a one-month recess starting July 16, 2026. The decision was announced by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Salihu Maikasuwa Dangoje, during plenary. The recess followed a motion moved by Majority Leader Hon. Faruku Aliyu Nassarawa Jega, seconded by Hon. Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, and unanimously adopted. The Speaker urged lawmakers to use the break to engage with constituents and gather feedback before resuming on August 11, 2026.
