He appealed to the military to shift its attention to Borno, where 42 people from his constituency, 30 from Lassa, and over 50 additional hostages remain captive. One teacher was beheaded shortly after the May 15, 2026 abduction.

NDC urges Nigerians to obtain PVC, says card is power to build new Nigeria

He particularly encouraged youths and first-time voters to register, stating that meaningful change can only be achieved through active participation in the electoral process. “Your PVC is your voice.
